About 6 months ago.....Jen and I ran across a Groupon that sounded pretty fun!

So, on the very last day before it expired....that's how we roll - we booked it!

It was called Scoot City Tours.

Driving in little scooters up Charleston, and through the Red Rock loop.

It was a total blast. Although I must admit, I was a little scared driving next to regular folk on Fort Apache.

One wrong looksie, and a car would demolish this scooter.

It was in November and cold but so amazingly beautiful.

And to top it off....we stopped at a convenience store after to get a Diet Coke.

You should have seen the people looking at us!

Taking the Lonnie Hammagren House Tour

My mom, hayley, the kids and I went to tour Dr. Hammagren's house.

You know the one you see driving down Sandhill wondering what all that stuff is??

Well in October, he opened it to the public.

and it was quite interesting.

The house had SO many different things to look at. There were odd things, cool things, antiques, junk.....a little bit of everything. It was actually pretty fun to look through it all. It could be right on the verge of hoarding though.

I did come across a "religious" room where he had all sorts of articles and pictures of religious leaders.

I was so proud to see our prophets up there. Very cool.

One of my favorite things (and Dane's) was the UNLV ticket booth.

One of the original ones. Very nastalgic. They also had an actual basketball hoop from Thomas and Mack when Jerry Tarkanian was coaching. Total my era. Loved it.

Sister Wives

Got to work with the Sister Wives and their husband Cody.
All in all things went great. Brought my sister to help with hair styling,
You know Cody DOES have a hairstyle that he loves. We abided.
We met at Mery's house early in the morning and spent time getting Mery, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn ready before Cody got there. We had fun chatting about their kids and Christmas and all that idle chit chat stuff. But, before the end of the shoot, Christine and I became tight friends. We even text messaged each other. Ha! She is the sweetest one I think! I really like her and can see us being friends. Just not sister wives. :) I'll repost when the photoshoot pictures are out! Fun Times!

Latin Grammy's and Nascar Awards

November and December are CRAZY busy in the Vegas Entertainment World.
I always know I'll be graced with Latin Grammy's, Nascar, Country Music Awards, and Rodeo related photo shoots. This year was no different! I didn't take many pictures but I did get a few.

Latin Grammy's were so fun this year. 2 days spent with 3 of my favorite hair/makeup artists and working directly with 7-up team. So, the dresses were made from soda cans, lashes were to be LARGE, GREEN and FEATHER-LIKE. Awesome! The hair looked amazing for the Carlos Santana video. It all turned out great! So glad to be a part of such a great event.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE working for the Nascar folk every December.
I always get to meet lots of people (who I never know exactly their fame).
I'm getting better on "doing my research".
I get to work with my friend Susan. She's so sweet and so fun! 2 redheads should ALWAYS work together I think. It should be a law or something. :)
Kid Rock was the performer. He seemed pretty nice but quiet for some reason. Maybe he was getting in the "mood" for his performance. I also got to work with Krista Voda. She hosted the show and did a great job! And, she's beautiful so it made my job extra easy.
Then, I was lucky enough to work with Tony Stewart. THE WINNER of the whole shebang.
And, he won about 6 million I think.....he began to look really really HOT. Cause he's single too. Just kidding. (kind of).

Made snowglobes. They were so fun. This WILL be a new tradition!

Added a new steinback nutcracker to my collection. Its not pictured but i'll post soon.

Picked out hot pink foil wrapping paper and added some turquoise and white yarn for deco. Love.

Got the twins some sock monkeys with their gifts. Loved looking at them so much so i decided to leave them on the outside!

Love my tree at night. I could just stare at all the sparkly lights. Makes me one happy girl.

And my mantel is my fun crazy over the top christmas decorations. Soon, my red trees will be filled with all my christmas cards from loved ones.

Jonathan and Arlene got married! Whoo Hoo! And, it was THE funnest wedding I have ever been to! I'll

Caribbean Cruise

{ sorry for the picture overload.....this is for journaling sake} In June, I went on a cruise to the Caribbean with 3 of my friends. We had SO. MUCH. FUN. Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Loved every minute. The extra weight gain...not so much!

The first two days were at sea. We had a blast roaming the ship, eating a LOT, playing Name That Tune in the Schooner Bar, swimming, napping, and lots more! Our first stop was Labadee, Haiti. It's a private island that Royal Caribbean owns. We signed up for ziplining. The world's longest zipline ever! It was beautiful! And, disclaimer.....all drinks were non alcoholic. :)

The next stop was Jamaica! Most definately my favorite place! We spent the day at a private resort with a private beach! It was so beautiful! The water was so clear and warm and it was amazing. We had great food, lots of cold drinks, and the softest sand under our feet!

Grand Cayman was our next stop. It was so HOT. But, it was beautiful and the whitest sand I've ever seen. We got lounge chairs on the beach, swam, ate, and shopped. Jen spotted a KFC on our way to Tiki Beach. Even on vacation, she was still thinking business! Susie took a picture of her feet. Her nails totally matched the water. We had fun but we were ready to get back on the boat and chill! I can't wait to go back and swim with the sting rays. I think I can talk my friends into it.

That night on the ship.....it was rainy and overcast. We went out on the top deck to check out the rock climbing wall and wave rider. It was a little creepy to be in the middle of nowhere with a storm coming.

I'm pretty sure that this was the dessert that we all got 2 of! Chocolate Molten Cake. Sinful.

Our last and final stop was in Cozumel, Mexico. Can you see how beautiful this water is? We went shopping at this local market right off the ship. We got some cool things! Susie and Jen were making all sorts of deals on silver jewelry. It was hilarious!

We then sailed for the last 2 days back to Florida. We went to the spa, walked the track, watched an outdoor movie, and started to pack up. We played a country music trivia and our group won!! Well, we tied another group. So, the tie breaker was rock paper scissors. We didn't win that. But, I'm still counting that as a win.

Our waiters were so sweet. They honestly were probably sick of us by the end of the trip. All those diet cokes. Savory bites and extra desserts. Well, that's what they get paid for right?

Thanks so much guys for a great trip! We always have so much fun traveling together! Can't wait to plan the next trip!

Something old gets a face lift

Found this cute little charming bookcase that I needed to make a home for. It's sad home was in my garage for a few months but I finally decided on the color, the finish, the knobs, and what to put in it! I LOVE how it turned out. It totally houses a place for my Dr Seuss collection! Finally! And the Anthropologie knobs were on clearance. SCORE! Welcome to my home.

What's been happening.................

On June 22nd, my dad had an appointment for an angiogram. We were expecting everything to be fine, but the doctor came out and said he needed open heart surgery. The very next day. We were so scared. My dad and I are so close and everything was happening so fast! He had the surgery, and everything went well. He stayed in ICU for about a week and that was so hard seeing him like that. My mom was such a trooper. Hardly ever left the hospital. And, our saving grace was Joann Fogg. She was at the hospital with us for hours and hours and never left my moms side. She even had my mom spend the night since she lived so close to the hospital. It's been 6 weeks now, and my dad is slowly recovering. I can't wait for him to be back to normal! Some other EXCITING NEWS.....My grandma Rose found out she had a sister! After 88 years of being an only child. My uncle Jim did some geneology work and put all the missing pieces together and now we have a new addition to our family! Her name is Frances but we call her Aunt Fluff. We had the opportunity to go to New Mexico and meet her for the first time. I'm sure it was so overwhelming to her.....keeping all the kids names straight and who belonged to who! She grew up an only child as well. Their meeting was so sweet! It was such a cool experience learning about her and her life. I was sad my parents weren't able to go because of my dads surgery, but we're all looking forward to a trip to Oklahoma. Robin, Tony and I flew into Albuquerque and spent a little time there. We then drove to Santa Fe and spent the night. We shopped, ate some awesome mexican food, and did a little sight seeing. Then, we drove into Farmington where we met Aunt Fluff. We took tons of pictures, spent great time with family, and were sad to say goodbye.

Look at these two cuties! SISTERS! They were inseperable. It was like catching up on 80 plus years of life! I got to stay with my Grandma, so I was able to join in on all the conversations. It was such a blast!

Shari and Beltons cute little girl Ava. She is adopted from China and we are so lucky to have her in our family! I love that little girl!

We got to spend a day up in Purgatory, Colorado. We had so much fun. We rode the alpine slides.....much faster than I remember them to be when I was young, and took the scenic ski lift up the mountain. The weather was beautiful until we got rained on! While we were on the lift. It was still a great memory. Little Ava even bungee jumped. We didn't think she would, but she got right up there and proved us all wrong! We finished the day in Durango with lunch and shopping! Great times!

While we were in Santa Fe, we got to see this miraculous staircase in a church there. It was built with absolutely no nails. It was amazing. I loved the old town of Santa Fe.

While in Albuquerque, we rode the tram up to Sandia Peak. It was amazing! 10,000 feet! The view was spectacular. I never did this as a kid, so I'm glad we were able to go this time!

This is definately a trip I will never forget. It was a whirlwind, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to leave my parents at home, but I'm SO glad I ended up going. Not only did I get to meet my new Aunt, but got to see all my family from New Mexico and Texas. Whom I love so much!!

Las Vegas Scavenger Hunt

What do you do when you're born and raised in Vegas and looking for something NEW to do?

You book a Las Vegas Scavenger Hunt. Then, you make sure you're up for walking 18,000 steps from Bellagio, to Cabo Wabo, to Paris, to Bally's, to Flamingo, to O'Sheas, to Caesars, to Harrahs, to Mirage, and then to Venetian. All while answering trivia questions via text messages! You get points....but you don't win anything. Although we probably earned a cupcake from the Sugar Factory....... the "somebody I went with in the green shirt" was on a diet. Well, I guess I was on a diet too. But I was sooooo ready to cave. We ended up with a piece of sugar free Godiva chocolate. It actually was a blast! It was fun to walk the strip.....you don't really do that if you live here! Can't wait to do the next one which is downtown!!

I LOVE working on award shows! I know I say this everytime an award show rolls into Vegas, but I just really do. I love the energy it brings, (not so much the drama), I love the talent of everyone involved, and I absolutely am honored to be a part of great shows! So, the Billboard Music Awards were no exception! I was part of an amazing team for Beyonces performace of Women Run the World. She had 100 dancers. CRAZY! They all had full hair extensions, full dramatic makeup and RED lips! It was cool. We did it. And with time to spare. Loved it.

I am so excited to blog about this HUGE event in our family.

One that makes me so happy!

And, makes me cry.

All emotions wrapped into one.

Brittney's water broke last Saturday.

She went to the hospital but her DR.s didn't want her to have the boys yet.

She was too early.

So she had to stay at the hospital in her room

and wait.

poor girl.

But, then on Tuesday morning, she went into labor.

Dr. Marten decided to schedule a c-section that morning.

I was so glad I was there for a little while before.

I fixed up her nails....and just chatted.

Then they came to get her.

About 30 minutes later, Brad was back with the news!

TWIN BABY BOYS Born : 3-29-11 1:21 p.m.

Baby A was named Grady Ross 4 lbs 15 oz 18 1/2 inches long

BABY B was named Tate Hollis 5 lbs 13 oz 18 1/2 inches long

Since they were 7 weeks early, they were put into NICU and will have to stay there until they are at least 36 weeks. They are doing so good though! I haven't been able to see them yet. Only grandparents and siblings.Brittney is thinking of a way to sneak me in. Just for one peek.It's killing me! Being an aunt is the best thing I have! I love babies. I love their soft skin. Their smell. I cannot wait.

So, in no particular order (sorry I was too tired to figure out all that)

As soon as I found out my niece Brittney was having twins, I knew I had to plan a PARTY! And since I LOVE Dr. Seuss myself, I thought it would be appropriate for the occasion. President's Weekend

A long weekend.

With not a whole lot of plans. Which was ok with me.

I also went to my first roller derby game.

Christina plays on a team in Arizona.

So, I had to learn all the rules from her.

Those girls were crazy.

I just kept thinking how sore I would be the next day.

I also went to the Bellagio with Jen's family that were in town.

We watched the fountains.

Looked at the flowers.

And then got LOCKED in the parking garage for 2 hours.

There was some crazy accident that wasn't allowing anyone to exit the parking garage.

So, after walking Annette's kids all the way down to Harmon (at midnight)

so she could pick them up,

we went back to the car

Happy Birthday to my dad and to Paige! I love when birthdays come around because that usually means we'll be seeing KIDDOS! Aurah and baby Hadley came by the night of my dads birthday. I asked Aurah where she got that scratch and she said....i believe it's a rash. Um, ok 3 years old. She is super freakin cute though! Baby Hadley LOVES Papa Richie. He could hold her for hours and she is happy and content as long as it's papa. So adorable.

Went to a few Rebel basketball games this week.

UNLV playing San Diego State was such a great game!

Playing Airforce.....not so much.

But, the company was FUN and our seats were awesome!

I love watching basketball. We used to have season tickets when I was growing up.

In the Larry Johnson, Chris Jeter days.

I miss those days!

Took the girls to see Justin Bieber movie.

It was for Paiges birthday.

Robin was supposed to come but she was really sick.

So, it was aunt jenny and 2 girls with bieber fever.

Ok.

When we left. I had the fever.

I really did.

I'm not even embarrassed to say that I saw the movie again.

(in the same day).

I am SOOOOO excited for my next 2 things.

They were both on my 35 list.

2 now to cross off.

I got my blog book created.

February 2nd, was my birthday. And I figured what better way to celebrate than friends, & chocolate! So, we went to Max Brenner in the Forum Shops. If you haven't been.....you better! I had the opportunity to do Max's makeup for the Food Network (which by the way airs this week...check it out. It's called Kid in a Candy Store) but anyways, I LOVED the atmosphere, the food, the chocolate! So fun! Thanks to everyone who could come! I missed those of you who couldn't come....I even handed out party favors! HUGE syringes full of Max's chocolate! I'm still chocolate wasted. I got lots of gifts and pretty things but just being there with my friends and family was the best way to celebrate. So, thanks girls.

It's finally open! Jen's family opened a KFC/TACO BELL in Sedona, Arizona. We went down for the first official day. All I'm sayin is that if my career as a makeup artist fails, I could always work fast food. :) We got to make our own food....practice with the employees and eat and eat and eat. Ugh! I LOVED the sour cream gun. (you can tell I've never worked fast food). The store was beautiful and I'm wishing them tons of success!

I think we can pretty much all agree that everyone goes OVERBOARD on Christmas gifts. I love buying gifts for people and then watching them open them. I love that feeling! So fun! Well, we spent Christmas morning at my mom and dads. It is a total tradition to eat macaroni soup for breakfast along with breakfast sandwiches (for those who are wimps). We had the whole crew there. Minus Drew, Heather, Aurah and Hadley. They were visiting Minnesota. :( The day after Christmas.....my house looked like a bomb went off but I reverted back to a kid again and had to play with all my toys. Twisted I know. I got 7 new Dr Seuss books for my collection. And this gumball machine! Are you kidding me? And, it's pink! I love love love.

I was in desperate need of a new sleep machine. And, double bonus....ALARM CLOCK.

and I was so excited to get these Bose headphones. So comfortable and such a perfect match for my ipad. Awe.I was in need of a GPS too. Those of you whomever have traveled with me....It's tradition to call my dad at home to look up addresses for me. NO MORE!

And, I am SOOOO excited about this book! A journal that only requires one line a day. Serious? Brilliant. I'm already on page 10. Whoo Hoo!

I got spoiled rotten with a membership to massage heights. Yes, one massage a month for a year. And, I got a heightened membership which means I can add on hot stones or peppermint foot scrub. I need one right now!

I think I need balance in my life. I'm pretty sure that's why my brother got me a power band.

And then the perfect gift for people like me....who love to shop. GIFT CARDS! I scored, Town Square, Anthropologie, Trader Joes, Mastercard gift card, Regal Movies, ITunes, District. It was a great day! The best part was being able to see all the kiddies so excited for their presents! Spending time with my mom and dad. Taking a nap. And getting together with friends!

My moms house at Christmas just makes my heart melt. Its just "HOME". I love her tree. I love how she does stockings for everyone in the entire family and even added Baby A and Baby B stockings for Brittney's twins. Such a cool tradition!

Thank you for the best Christmas! We missed grandma this year but I know she was watching down hoping we'd eat some macaroni for her!!

Here's a little sneak peak for my decorations. Most of you know.....I am an obnoxious Christmas decorator! I have so many decorations that don't even make it out every year. I crank the Bose with holiday jams, I have all matching wrapping paper, personalized gift tags, glittery ribbon, and my favorite....my little ornament tree. Each ornament has a story. I love things like that. Can't wait to fill my velvet trees with cards, and get all the rest of the stuff to their homes!

When I got hired to work on the NASCAR awards, I'll be honest. I was most excited about the paycheck. I'm not really a NASCAR fan. Don't really know anything about it. But, am SO happy to say it was probably one of the funnest jobs I have EVER worked on. Everyone was so nice! So funny! So cool! I found out that Jimmie Johnson is HOT...apparently his wife thinks so too. (ha!) I met the legendary Richard Petty. Got to work with all the reporters from FOX and one of my besties Susan. Awesome day.

I'm having trouble in keeping up on blogging. I feel like I never have anything to write about. But, as going through my pictures.....I saw some cute little kiddos. That's definitely something to share. I'm not big on decorating for Halloween. Christmas, a WHOLE other story. (kind of obnoxious). I did decide to put up a few small decorations....all with glitter. :)

We finally used our FREE Disneyland tickets in October. We had so much fun! Somehow the Disneyland attendant realized it was Susie's birthday! So, she got "the pin". 22 people wished her a happy one. I have to admit, I am one lucky girl to have the parents I do! We had such a blast! They were animals! We ate, shopped, (found amazing deals...2 new boogie boards - yay).

We laughed alot!! My mom is hillarious and between her and Susie, I was serioulsy trying not to pee my pants! I would not trade this weekend trip for anything! I'm so glad I was able to go with my parents. I will always cherish these memories! I made them stop at Chik fil A and I'm pretty sure they're hooked! My dad strategically placed every single item in the truck just so my IKEA mirror would fit. Oh, and one for Amber. The trip was perfect! Just too short. So, when is our next trip folks?

Well, for those of you who know me....know I probably don't love anything more than the beach! So, when I was invited for a weekend beach trip with the Stewart bunch...I was so excited! The Stewarts did a little house swap with The Fosters (jen's parents) and also jen's sister and brother in law....Brad and Becky! So, between the two houses in Laguna, we all stayed SUPER comfortably! It was like a big party the whole time! I love this family like my own! Thanks for inviting me to come play! :) Here were a few highlights of the trip:

When am I going to learn that white girls don't tan? Went to San Clemente California for a little beach time and sunshine. Well, didn't quite turn out that way. It rained, never really saw sunshine and it never went above 64 degrees! It felt great though. We still played, had great fun and food with friends and family, and slept REALLY good! SIMI VALLEY

Have you ever been to Simi Valley, California? It was so beautiful! I got to see the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum which was really cool! So glad we did it!

Took a drive to Lake Elsinore from San Clemente. Thought it would be closer....all of a sudden I'm driving through a National Forest. It was unbelievably beautiful! But it took about 1 1/2 hours. And, I'm not gonna lie....I was trying to make it to the Pottery Barn Outlet.

THE 4th of JULY

The 4th of July is always a HUGE deal to our family. We are such a patriotic family and love to celebrate this holiday! Every year, we celebrate in Kanarraville, UT (where my mom grew up) and where my parents are now building a home. It is SO much fun! It's such a small town with a HUGE heart. Our family participated in the parade again this year. Our theme was surf in the USA. We had a blast putting that together. Sorry I don't have any pictures of the completed one, but it was adorable. We had "surfin the usa" playing so loud on our float. The kids were throwing out salt water taffy and beach balls. Brooke and Paige made up a dance that got everyone in on the moves! SO fun! We didn't win....(we think it's rigged) but we're glad we did it anyway! There always is a program after the parade. I always cry. It's always so good. My mom does a tribute to the armed forces with music and everyone sings....it's so beautiful. This year was bitter sweet because a few weeks ago, my moms cousin passed away unexpectedly from leukemia. He was always a big part of the 4th of July. Kanarra definitely won't be the same without Bud!

Sharing a room with these 2 cuties. I love Greyson to death! All 24 pounds of him! I love that we had a sleeping machine in our room. I loved the basement. I loved that Amber feels like family.

Kanarra Narrows Hike

This new tradition of ours is the BEST! Since we all come to Utah to celebrate the 4th of July, we always come a day early to hike. It's beautiful, it's wet, it's fun, it's memories! This time we were so excited that Kim Duke came to join in the fun! She's an animal!

Cinderella

Went to see Cinderella at the Summerlin Library! A total girls family affair. We sat on the second row. My mom, Robin, me, Heather, Aurah, Brittney, Emmy, Hayley, Brooke and Paige. The best part was seeing Aurah and Emmy dancing in the aisle. They are so into fairytales. Good times. Thanks mom! Emmy was so excited on the drive. Blowing kisses and everything!

In memory of Bill Behan

My dear sweet friend Jenna's husband passed away June 28th. He has been battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) for the past 4 years. Jenna and Billy have 2 sweet girls, Kaelyn and Cassidy. I love you Jenna and hope you know you're in my thoughts and prayers!

Mother's Day isn't the same when your not a mother, but my family always celebrates me! :) I love all my little kiddos so much! I got cards and gifts but most of all LOVE. Paige was in a play...she was the green knight. She did such a great job. I took Aurah with me and she was so excited to give her flowers.

Aurah turned 3. We had cake and ice cream. We danced and played. Her and Emmy are besties. They play like they are sisters (meaning they fight too).

A workin week....

This week was a little crazy but hey....work is work and I'm blessed to have it! I did makeup for the ACM Awards and it was a blast. Met soooo many great people, laughed, ate, and saw some pretty fine faces! I love my job. Hillary with Lady Antebellum cleaned up on those awards! Good job!

This is Liz. The cutest girl ever. She sings back up for Taylor Swift. Who also is the cutest girl ever...Liz was so cute about her lips. She loved the way I did them. So, I gave her the lipgloss. You would have thought I gave her 200 dollars. She was adorable! Liz....I hope you look like a golden goddess with that gloss! And you totally rocked the stage!

This is Rhapsody. So sweet. She was performing last night with Laura Bell Bundy. What a hot little number they had. And, Rhapsody did an awesome job dancing!Now, this would be LL Cool J. {ladies love cool james} This is right before he had to go and introduce Taylor Swift to perform. I love him. always have.

Yes....it's Danny Gokey from American Idol. What a little cutie.

I had some good friends come into town during this crazy week but I'm so glad we got to hang out for a bit....even though I'm prrrrreeeeeeeety sure intoxication was the word of the night for some of them. It's ok Paula. I still love ya!

This is Song and I. We worked a Cici's Pizza commerical together. Sounds pretty fun right?

Well, try9 p.m. - 7 a.m. {all nighters suck} with no air at one point. Pizza that had to keep getting sprayed with hairspray to make them look hot and right out of the oven.....we were just tired, hot, and needed to sleep. But, anyways, I love working with Song. We laugh so much and eat...haha! I love ya Song!

CRUISE 2010

Well, I'm back from Mexico. 2.5 pounds heavier. Less than I was thinking.

Because we were in a feeding frenzy!

But, there were many lessons learned.

Vacationing with my dad is easy.

He's just so easy going.

I even got him to parasail with me!

The pool area was amazing.

However, the ADULT pool area was more my style.

Shopping on the ship is fun!

Green apples help with seasickness.

I should listen harder to instructions.

Notice the parasailer almost crashing into a building.

That would be me.

It's ok to have one dessert with every single meal.

It's probably not a good idea to have more than one.

Don't let your brother talk you into going into a cage with monkeys.

Just offer to take a picture of him with a snake.

Don't let 18 years of marriage fool you.

These two were like little school kids in love.

I LOVED all the people I traveled with. It was a blast!

And, I loved that my roomie "susie" didn't mind when I wanted to take

a nap. ok. everyday.

Traveling with your parents is so FUN!

Well, at least mine are.

The ship is unbelievable BIG.

You could get lost.

I finally think I learned my lesson with sunblock.

I applied spf 50 and came home barely burned!

When traveling with my brother, it's like we were 10 years old again.

Probably annoying for our other cruisers, but we had a blast!

Figured out I don't particularly LOVE looking over the ship to the water.

Got a little freaked out.

Realized my mom is an animal! She was a party animal!

Loved karaoke. Chatted with everyone.

Made the trip so great!

Spending $48.30 for a Diet Coke card was well worth every penny!

Wow what a party for a sweet little girl turning 2! Emmy's party was a circus theme. Idea from Karas party ideas Invitation done by Jamie Carter.

We had a food table with nachos, hot dogs, and chili. We also had a treat table with suckers, cupcakes, cotton candy, and many other yummy things!

The party favors were boxes of animal crackers. Cute tags again by Jamie.

lots of snow for lots of fun

Last weekend I was invited to spend a few days with my friend Jen and her family in Utah. They have a cabin in Brianhead and were so sweet to include me with their family! However, things were not that easy getting there! There was so much snow, that the people who were already there were snowed in, and those of us who weren't there yet....couldn't get in! It was kind of comical. But, after being snowmobiled in about a 25 min ride....we were there! But, then came the snowmobile mechanical problems. Spark plugs, brakes, gas....we needed it all! They were stuck miles away from the cabin. But about 4 hours later, with a bunch of exhausted peeps, we all we there! And, it was a total blast! We had great food, alot of laughs, games, snowmobiling, tubing, some skiied, some snowboarded, and relaxation too! It was a much needed trip!

She is the best mom.
No matter how much she has going on {4 kids, church calling, work, husband} she always has time for me.
I never have to ask Amber for help. She just knows when I need it.
Her skin. It's just not fair to be that beautiful.

Her creativity.
Her heart. She loves so much.

My brother Dave has been in the hospital with a rare form of phemonia. Everyday is a struggle. I am starting to think he's just trying to get out of ziplining with me next week. :)

My taxes are DONE! Well, ready for the accountant. Whew!
Booked ziplining in Puerta Vallarta. Cannot even tell you the excitement I have. I have always wanted to go! And, I get to go with my brother Dave! 24 more days.

Am totally addicted to reading this to-do-list book. It's kind of voyeuristic. Why would I want to read other people's lists? I don't know....but you can find out too.

Got new coyboy boots and I seriously love. In total honor of my dad. He taught me to love cowboy boots....and to know a "good" pair of cowboy boots. I hope you're proud dad. A know they are a little more "fashionista" than you're good ol Justins....but I'm happy!

Started a new book called Little Bee. The back cover has me entrigued. So, I will check back in and give details. Sounds interesting!

I am apart of a new book club! So excited....to start swapping!
I get to celebrate 9 birthdays in March. And, because I love to shop.....this has been a blast!
My guitar class has been going so well. This week I can play Love me Tender. I'm hoping Taylor Swift won't be too far away. ha!
Purged part of my closet. Got rid of 28 purses. That left me with about 22. And I feel free!
We sold our very first lego pendant on Just Be.

1. all my family and friends! I am so blessed and couldn't ask for any greater people! They celebrated my birthday with me...spoiled me rotten....but most importantly were kind enough to come! I have the best friends! (more pictures to come....I'm having issues uploading)

2. Jamie having a birthday! We celebrated at Maggianos and it was so fun! I totally feel like part of their family these days! love it! 3. One of my new favorite shoes. 1 out of 4 to be exact. What do you think??

4. My new favorite nail polish. Essie Bermuda Shorts. It rocks on my nails!

And my next love will be revealed tomorrow! Stay Tuned. And no it's not a husband.

Amy Leigh Hartz October 14, 1974 - February 3, 2010 After a long, hard fought battle with cancer and kidney failure, Amy passed away February 3rd surrounded by family and the thoughts and prayers of the family and friends who could not be near. My childhood friend Amy has been battling cancer for the past couple of years. Although her family and friends will terribly miss her, we are comforted to know she is out of pain and now rests in peace with her Father in heaven.

*My dad had a birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Dad! I love you! *Paige celebrated hers today too! I love my little Paige. *Was feeling extra blah today. *Wished the day had went a little differently. *sad I wasn't able to make Jen Sedillo's party. Actually bummed. She would have lifted my spirits! *On a good note, I got to see family and visit with a couple friends for a bit. *had a good chat with an old friend who's out of town. Talked about life. Good things. *got the most amazing new book. I'll share more later about it. Those people who love making lists....NEED this book. *My friend Jackie's dad is very very sick and might not make it through the night. Sedona

My sweet friend Jen's niece Sydney Stewart was performing in a really cool singing competition. She got chosen as the sweetest spot! She sang Popular from Wicked and she rocked the house! So, we made a quick trip to Sedona. Will and Christina were SO nice to let us crash at their house for a couple nights. They made everything perfect! And, it was so fun to have Tanner around. He's my new little buddy. He calls me "aunt rose". Love it.

Isn't Sydney so stinkin cute? I loved her boots too! I did her makeup (she did not need any) but we sparkled her up and she was ready to go! This is me and Summer! I love this girl. She's so cool to hang out with. We were wishing we could have went shopping while we were there....but the huge snow storm in Flagstaff had us get on the road! I told Summer next time. For sure!

Summer and Sydney's little brother Ty....is a little fox! He is so cute and I love his smile! We went to check out the new KFC/TACO BELL store that Jen and her family own. It is going to be nice!! Let's all pray that the economy will get better so they'll survive! They deserve it!

I love traveling with Jen! She is a blast! She did however get a speeding ticket. :(

And, look at those eyes? She got prettiest eyes in high school. Oh, and I think prettiest hair. Whatever!

We also did a little sight seeing downtown Sedona. It was beautiful! Very fun! I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Oh and I love that Jen loves fountain diet cokes too!

Bryanhead, UT

Went for a quick trip to Utah...and so happy there was snow! So we decided to drive up to Bryanhead to take advantage of skiing or tubing. It was a total blast! It was so cold but I was dressed appropriately this time....so I was golden. It was great! {the above picture is my parents house in Kanarraville. It's coming right along!}

I got a few pictures of Susie coming down the hill. She was flying! It was so crazy!

Now time for some hot chocolate. ok. and food.

My best friend Amber had her 4th baby boy on December 29, 2009. Her last baby was over 10 pounds....so all the bets were on. The nurse was the only one who came close. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long. Amber did amazing. And, she looks amazing already. Everything went smoothly.....except for the little fact that Brian missed the birth due to a Wendy's food run. Amber says he's in trouble....but I thought Robin Duke and I were great birthing partners! He is such a cute little guy....but definitely will have his work cut out for him once he gets home to Tanner, Carson, and Crew! Thanks again Amber for wanting me there with you. It is the best experience and I wouldn't miss it for the world! Wendy's included!

December 20, 2009 was a sad day. We lost my sweet grandmother. My mom lost her mom just days before Christmas and that breaks my heart. I have so many memories of my grandma. We were very close and I cherish every minute we were together. She was a riot. The funniest personality, the most giving lady in the world, the most stylish (her love of shoes!) and most of all her love for the gospel and America. She was so patriotic and wanted red, white and blue flowers on her casket. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, the best mother (next to mine :) ) , a grandmother to 8, a great grandmother to 13, and a great great grandmother to 2. I can't even explain the emptiness I feel without my cute "CP" as she once called herself. Stands for cute princess. I love you grandma. I cannot wait to see you again! The above picture was taken last year at her birthday party.

The weather in Kanarra was 11 degrees. So, you can imagine how cold the burial was. We had to bundle up as much as we could. My dad gave a beautiful prayer to dedicate the grave and we all got to take a flower from her floral arrangement. I know I will feel sadness for a long time. Those of you who met my grandma knows what I mean. You just couldn't help but love her.

Christmas Day

Well, Christmas day was jam packed full of fun. This year, I did the 12 days of Christmas and played Secret Santa to Dave, Hayley and the kids. It was a blast! Although, there were a few times they almost caught me....I stayed a suprise! So, early Christmas morning, I took my last gift and left them a clue to come find me ( i was hiding)....they were SO shocked! It made my whole Christmas! I love those kids! We then went to my moms for breakfast and gift opening. It has been a tradition since I was little. My mom and dad have 16 stockings to fill for all of us. It's always so fun to have everyone over and enjoy the day. It's always a treat to watch the little kids open presents. I love their excitement in their faces! Makes it all worth it! We had a very nice day. I treasure each holiday with my family. My parents are the best at making sure everyone is taken care of. And, we all were!

Tis the season. The busy season

I LOVE LOVE LOVE decorating for Christmas. I kind of scaled back this year but it felt good. I know it sounds odd...but I wrapped all my presents in black paper with custom tags made by Jamie. And, if anyone wonders who on earth would buy black ornaments, that would be me.

During the craziness of trying to finish Christmas shopping, finish wrapping, attending Christmas parties, and all the other stuff that comes with the holidays....I took a job working on a movie called Red Canvas. It was fun working with Barbra (my makeup buddy) but working in Valley of Fire in the middle of the night, working night shoots OUTSIDE in freezing weather, and not sleeping at all.....wasn't really a great start to Christmas. We finished filming 2 days before Christmas and I was so glad! But, thankful for the work! :)

I also got to attend my little sweet Paige's school Christmas program. She was so precious. She sang a solo (which I will download later) and did such a great job. That girl is so amazing with the sweetest spirit I have ever seen. I love her!

Halloween this year was a blast as usual! We went to the annual Findlay Halloween party for food and trick or treating. All the kids were so cute in their costumes. It's always good to get together with family and great friends. I did Aurah's makeup for her Tinkerbell costume and she then "needed" to do Emmy's makeup. My little makeup artist in training!
