How did this game become 7 interesting things?

Well, I was tagged....so here goes. 1. I am a TOTAL list maker. I'm a FREAK list maker. I love paper, pens, any kind of office supplies and LOVE when I get to check something off my list. 2. I really love kitchen stuff. I have this weird addiction for brightly colored kitchen utensils, dishes, and appliances. You would think I cook all the time. Not the case....but if I did, I 'd SO be prepared. 3. I became an aunt when I was 5 years old. Which by the way is the greatest thing! I have three nieces ages 23, 9 and 7 AND three nephews ages 26, 21 and 5. Oh, and also a great niece who is 7 months and another on the way! 4. I used to sneak and try to peek at my Christmas presents. I just couldn't stand a suprise. One time, when my parents weren't home; I opened a present and it was this pair of black boots I wanted SO bad. So, I wore them out that night and rewrapped them when my parents were asleep. On Christmas morning, I acted so suprised for the boots. Good thing my mom didn't see the bottoms....which were so dirty. 5. I used to hate my red hair when I was younger. I always would daydream about having dark hair and tan skin. Now, I've learned to appreciate how I am and be glad to be one of the 2% population of natural redheads! 6. I'm a daddy's girl. Ask anyone. My dad and I have this really special relationship and were really close friends. Also, most people say they hope they don't turn out like their mothers. In my case, I REALLY hope I do. My mom is an extraordinary person - in every single way. I hope I inherit even 1/2 of her traits. I am SO blessed with great parents! 7. I LOVE my profession! It's so rewarding being able to make money at something you absolutely love to do. Whether it is working with celebrities or everyday people....it's the best feeling to make someone feel good about themselves!

Back to Blogging

Sorry I've been a little un motivated to blog lately. Plus, having wireless mouse issues doesn't help all that much! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...we all have many things to be thankful for.

I went for it! Got out all my Christmas decorations and then realized we still have another week left in November. Oh well. If I didn't do it now, it probably wouldn't get done. I LOVE Christmas decorations. I don't really have the "traditional" Christmas colors but, who cares right? I also finished altering my advent calendar. The picture doesn't really do it justice but I do love the way it looks. Knowing me, I probably won't even open the little doors on the right day, but it's all in good spirit! :)

I finally got this picture of Christ that I have had my eye on forever at Desert Book. I love it!
You all know I couldn't post without a cute little picture of my chunky Aurah! Notice her pants aren't even buttoned up. :) This girl is the joy of my life. It's so fun having little babies around. I cannot wait to spoil another one in a few months! You would never know because Brittney IS NOT SHOWING YET! And, last but not least, I was tagged and I will be getting to that tomorrow. Thanks Britt.

Look what I found at Target!

I'm getting really excited for Christmas....other than it's right around the corner. But, I love the smells of Christmas, shopping, the baking, time with friends and family, the spirit of GIVING...I love giving gifts, decorating, Christmas music, and especially the story of Christ. It's such a great time of year. I found this advent calendar and absolutely LOVED it. I think I may alter it up a bit...I can't always leave everything alone...but I'll post a picture when I'm done! I love the little compartments (now just trying to figure out what to put in them). Another FUN project!

Look what opened across the street from me

Ok. So Dunkin Donuts opened across the street from me. With a drive thru. And, 24 hours. I think I may have a problem.

I miss Desirae
I miss her comments on my blog
I miss her big beautiful eyes
I miss reading how much she loved her nieces
I miss reading how much we were in common and always wanted to do something crafty
I really miss her happy go lucky spirit
I know she is in a better place
A place without pain or fear
She comforts all of us in our times of grieving

We will forever love you Rae!

I can't believe I cut bangs

I finally had a hair appointment today and decided so last minute.....to cut bangs. Where that came from; I have no idea. But, I think I'm liking the change. After a long stressful week, I needed a little something "new"!

Finished the quilt

For those of you who don't know, Desirae LOVED skulls and Halloween. I recently saw her at Joann's and she bought a piece of this fabric. After her passing, Amber and I decided that we would get the fabric from her mom and tie her a quilt. We bought some coordinating fabrics (including polk a dots which she loved) and finally finished it. We're so excited to give it to her mom!

Rae's Grave site

Jen and I went to Desirae's grave site tonight. I know it's a temporary marker but I just really wanted to make her arrangement since she loved Hallowen SO much. We even found a little lighted skull torch. It was starting to get dark so we turned it on and it looked so cute. There were no other flowers there at the time, so I'm so glad we decided to go when we did.

Halloween

I'm finally feeling ready to blog a little. It has been such an emotional week but I have so many pictures to share. I went to a party at my good friend the Findlays on Halloween. It was a lot of fun to be around tons of family and friends. We had dinner and let all the kids trick or treat in the Fountains. They were in heaven with "big size" candy bars at every house. I guess every kids dream! My brother Dave as a used car salesman. I must admit that this costume was classic. He even had the "Findlay Toyota Salesman of the Month" badge. Ed and Linda got such a kick out of his costume. Good job Dave!
Paige as a toothfairy....Brooke as a DIVA....and Dane as a cowboy!
My little sweet Aurah's first Halloween as a kangaroo. Cutest ever!
Jen and I also went out to see her neices and nephew in their costumes. Had trouble getting them all to look at the camera but they also were so cute! They LOVE their aunt Jenny!

Thanks to everyone for MAJOR support

I just wanted to say thank you for everyone's nice comments. You have no idea how I appreciate all the kind words, phone calls, and emails. That was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I know without a doubt that Desirae was there. Her spirit was so strong and although I was full of tears the ENTIRE time, I did feel comforted to know I did the right thing for her and her family. The next couple of days will continue to be hard; so please keep her family in your prayers. For those of you who are interested in supporting....her funeral will be held at the East Stake Center (Gateway and Wyoming chapel) on Saturday at 11 a.m. Her viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30. Thank you again for all the support!
